Job Overview

To work closely with Head of Esri India Consulting in overseeing strategy implementation and execution of GIS Application Development projects through a team of Project managers, team leads and developers spread at various location in the country. The focus will be on using Esri's technologies to the largest possible extent and delivering projects, leading to a very high level of customer satisfaction, while ensuring profitability of the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

To manage Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) division for India, be responsible for business development, delivery, its profitability and business operations. This position requires working with and through the India product sales team.

To enable design & solution delivery to suit each client's unique needs, scope change management – estimation, plan releases & implementation. Manpower planning, recruitment and training.

To ensure the execution of the projects as per defined KPI targets on metric, delivery and quality as per CMMI standards

To guide the managers responsible for delivery to ensure the projects are delivered within the estimated time and cost. Obtaining customer sign-off and ensuring the quality. Esri India sets the benchmark for partner companies, so our quality of delivery should be exemplary.

To guide the team to think out of the box and stress on user experience.

Analyzing market trends; making strategies based on holistic awareness of various internal and external issues and the vision, mission & values of the organization for continued business growth and superior customer experience.

Identifying potential organizational risk and developing mitigation plans, reviewing and advising project and program teams for effective risk mitigation strategies

People & Performance Management – mentoring and coaching people, Career planning, identifying training needs, providing feedback & motivating people to deliver.

To interact with customers for guiding and supporting development work, taking feedback from customers on our deliveries and making strategies to improve upon. Effectively manage customer perception, expectations and ongoing relationships

Desired skillset

Experience in handling various Geo-Spatial Products with good exposure on Esri Product portfolio.

Expertise in GIS based solutions development in the domain of Land, Telecom, Urban, Water, Power, etc.

Ability to influence and obtain acceptance from senior management, stakeholders, and have a positive can-do attitude

Strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to work with figures and large data sets

High on Emotional Intelligence & great People Management Skills. Pleasing personality and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to sense, analyze and define the problem. Derive and implement solutions and evaluate the outcomes of the implemented solutions.

Learning Agility

Ability to function effectively in a diverse environment, enact fairness, equity, and ensure the full participation of all members of the organization

Expert in managing the perceptions and emotions of customers to create a positive experience whenever they interact with an Esri India Touchpoint.

Non-Negotiable skills

Expertise in leading the delivery of GIS projects to government customers in India. Knowledge of the requirements of the commercial sector (BFSI, Mfg., Retail etc. will be an added advantage.

Expertise in Project/ Program Delivery Management skills: project planning, estimation, resource management, risk assessments, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes.

In depth understanding of key business drivers, operations and organizational levels (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth.
