Job Description:As an API Lead (Apigee), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Apigee API management platform to streamline the development and deployment of APIs within our organization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, leading solutions using Apigee, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our API infrastructure. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and engineers working on API projects.

Key Responsibilities:Design and lead API solutions using the Apigee platform, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.Lead the development and implementation of APIs and API proxies using Apigee Edge, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.Integrate Apigee with existing systems, applications, and databases to enable seamless data flow and interoperability across the organization.Implement security measures such as authentication, authorization, encryption & Set up monitoring, logging, and analytics solutions to track API usage, performance, and health, and use insights to optimize and improve API management processesEstablish governance policies, guidelines, and documentation for API development, deployment, and management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standardsTechnical Skills:

Proficiency in API design, development, and management using Apigee Edge. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and web services. Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python. Knowledge of API security protocols and standards (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS)

Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns.Job Title:

API Architect (Apigee)You will be working on the development of web and mobile applications in the Cloud and in environments of the customer's choice.Define the API roadmap, strategy and solution for an enterprise customer, having good knowledge of SOA, API frameworks.Mentor teams for designing, implementing, testing and deploying the APIs using the latest technologies and best practices out there in the market.Design and implement API management using API management software like Apigee which would include API proxies, mashups, northbound and southbound security,rate limiting, analytics, monetization and developer portalsUnderstand and communicate risks, issues, challenges and status/progress of the projectFacilitate DR (Disaster Recovery) exercises to ensure that the team are fully prepared in the event of a catastropheLead Capacity Planning and Management activities to ensure that the Apigee platform will be able to handle additional transactions in the futureLead team to document requirements, design, architecture and test scripts.Experience architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.Familiarity with middleware and cloud technologies like NOSQL datastores, Google Cloud and Mobile app development.Ability to lead architecture discussions and influence key decision makers around deployment topologies, scaling, performance and sizing.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability and willingness to travel as required.

Skills & Preferred Qualifications:10+ years of experience in IT consultingMust have played a leadership role in API Web and SOA, ESB, Integration implementations1 to 5 years of hands-on experience with an API management software like Apigee or equivalent with the knowledge of API mashups,analytics, developer networks, monetization models and security.Certification in Apigee is preferred.4 to 7 years of experience in SOA middleware Integration technologiesExcellent Development experience with Java and other languages like JavaScript, Python, Node.js.Knowledge and Experience of 12 Factor Development, with multi tiered applications design.Experience working with OWASP security threat protection strategies and implementationExperience with web services related standards such as HTTP, REST, SOAP, OAuth, OpenID, JWT.Experience building and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) independently and effectivelyExcellent knowledge of REST/JSON with working knowledge of other protocols and Design patterns.In depth knowledge of HTTP(s) /HTTPS protocol, web servicesKnowhow of Cassandra, ZooKeeper, Postgres, LDAP, AD etc.In depth working experience in security and identity protocols such as OpenID, TLS, OAuth, SAML, SSOExperience in SOA design and implementation and solution integrationWorking knowledge of cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure
