Job Title: Senior Director - Data EngineeringAbout the Role:eClerx is seeking a Senior Director of Data Engineering to lead and scale our data engineering services for our top-tier clients, particularly in the financial services and payment processing sectors. This role will focus on driving growth, overseeing delivery excellence, and ensuring seamless operations within our data engineering division. You will work closely with client executives, internal stakeholders, and delivery teams to craft and implement innovative data solutions that align with business objectives and foster strong client relationships.As the Senior Director, you will be responsible for managing P&L, developing growth strategies for our data operations, and leading teams that deliver cutting-edge data engineering services. You will also act as a mentor to the engineering team, while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.Roles & Responsibilities:Lead and provide strategic direction to the data engineering team, aligning operations with client business objectives.Develop and execute data engineering strategies to drive business growth, revenue generation, and delivery excellence.Manage the overall P&L for the data engineering vertical, ensuring profitability and operational efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Risk & Controls, Automation, and Analytics, to support data-driven initiatives.Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding client needs and providing innovative data solutions.Ensure a highly skilled data engineering workforce to support both RTB (Run the Business) and CTB (Change the Business) initiatives.Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, methodologies, and tools to deliver best-in-class data solutions.Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to explore new business opportunities and drive transformation-led projects.Stay updated on industry trends, ensuring eClerx remains at the forefront of data engineering innovation.Qualifications & Requirements:Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.Minimum 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, or Analytics, with significant experience in managing large-scale teams and P&L responsibilities.Proven experience working within a services/consulting environment, delivering to Fortune 500 clients, preferably in Banking, Financial Services, or Payment Processing sectors.Strong track record in building, managing, and scaling high-performance data engineering teams, geographically distributed.Experience collaborating with stakeholders across diverse functions to develop creative, data-driven solutions that drive business value.Expertise in data management, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), ETL processes, big data technologies, and advanced data architectures.Demonstrated ability to navigate complex client relationships and deliver transformative data solutions in a fast-paced environment.Personal Attributes:Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to drive high-quality business outcomes.Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-focused, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align data strategies with broader business objectives.Customer-centric mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.An innovative thinker, always exploring new approaches to improve efficiency and deliver impactful results.About eClerx:eClerx is a global leader in providing data-driven business solutions across industries such as financial services, telecommunications, retail, and high-tech.
