We are seeking a skilled Backend Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Databricks, AWS, SQL, Python, and PySpark, with a proven ability to design and implement efficient data pipelines. Additionally, a foundational knowledge of API development is required. If you are passionate about data engineering and eager to tackle complex challenges, we would love to hear from you

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and PySpark on Databricks.


- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and optimize data flows.


- Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.


- Utilize AWS services to manage data storage, processing, and orchestration.


- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support data operations.


- Conduct code reviews and contribute to team best practices.


- Assist in the development of APIs for data access and integration.


- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.



- Document processes and maintain data flow :


- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.


- Proficiency in Databricks, AWS, SQL, Python, and PySpark.


- Experience with data pipeline orchestration and workflow management.


- Basic understanding of API development and integration.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.



- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions.



- Knowledge of data modeling and database design (ref:hirist.tech)
