Job Summary :

The Dynatrace APM SME is responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Dynatrace APM solutions to monitor, optimize, and ensure the performance and reliability of applications.

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including development, operations, and infrastructure teams, to provide insights and solutions for performance issues.

Key Responsibilities :

Implementation and Configuration :

- Install and configure Dynatrace APM agents on various applications and servers.

- Set up monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports to track application performance and health.

- Customize Dynatrace configurations to meet specific client requirements.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization :

- Monitor application performance and identify bottlenecks, slowdowns, and errors.

- Analyze performance data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

- Work with development and operations teams to implement performance improvements.

Troubleshooting and Incident Management :

- Respond to and resolve performance-related incidents in a timely manner.

- Perform root cause analysis for performance issues and implement preventive measures.

- Document and communicate incident findings and resolutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Collaborate with developers, operations, and other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of Dynatrace APM solutions.

- Provide training and support to end-users on using Dynatrace tools effectively.

- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to align performance monitoring with business objectives.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with the latest Dynatrace features, best practices, and industry trends.

- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives for application performance management processes.

- Contribute to the development of APM strategies and roadmaps.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in application performance management, with a focus on Dynatrace APM.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Dynatrace APM platform, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Strong understanding of application performance metrics, monitoring tools, and methodologies.

- Knowledge of various application architectures (e., microservices, monolithic) and cloud environments (e. , AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

- Experience with scripting languages (e., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Dynatrace certification(s).

- Experience with other APM tools (e., New Relic, AppDynamics).

- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
