Role Overview:

As an Ab Initio Developer at Torry Harris, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing data integration and DWH solutions for our esteemed clients. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of Ab Initio, a powerful ETL tool, to architect, build, and support robust and scalable data integration workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and clients to gather requirements and translate them into effective data integration strategies.

2. Design and implement Ab Initio graphs for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure accurate and efficient data integration.

3. Develop and maintain data quality solutions.

4. Optimize and fine-tune Ab Initio workflows to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.

5. Monitor Ab Initio jobs, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.

6. Maintain documentation of design specifications, technical configurations, and user manuals for future reference and knowledge sharing.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Ab Initio solutions with other systems and platforms.

8. Stay updated with emerging trends in data integration, Ab Initio techniques, and best practices to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as an Ab Initio Developer, with at least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing Abinitio workflows.

3. Proficiency in creating and maintaining Ab Initio graphs utilizing various components like Reformat, Join, Rollup, Scan, Partition, etc.

4. Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to write complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.

5. Familiarity with database concepts and proficient in querying and manipulating data using SQL with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, etc.

6. Experience with data warehousing concepts and techniques for developing dimensional models and schemas.

7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide effective solutions.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
