Print Production Manager

Job Overview :
The Print Producer is responsible for managing the production of printed materials, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with the creative vision, timelines, and budgets. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in print production, vendor management, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management :
- Coordinate and manage the production process for all printed materials, including brochures, packaging, point-of-sale displays, posters, and other collateral.
- Develop production schedules and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with internal creative teams, designers, and account managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Vendor Management :
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with external print vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotes, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and manage purchase orders and invoices.
- Oversee the quality control of all print deliverables by conducting press checks and reviewing proofs to ensure consistency with the brand and design specifications.
- Quality Assurance :
- Ensure all printed materials meet the company’s quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process, including color management, material selection, and printing techniques.
- Budget and Cost Management :
- Manage production budgets, monitor costs, and ensure cost-efficient use of resources.
- Track project expenses and provide regular budget updates to stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication :
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, sales) to ensure clear communication throughout the production process.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on print specifications, materials, and production methods.
- Innovation & Process Improvement :
- Stay updated on the latest print technologies and trends to ensure the highest quality production techniques.
- Continuously improve production workflows and processes to increase efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Print Production, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in print production or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of print production processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Experience working with print vendors, including negotiating costs and managing timelines.
- Proficiency in print management software and tools.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and vendors.
- Familiarity with color management, pre-press processes, and file preparation.
