Reports To: Quality Control Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Executive is responsible for ensuring that all barrels produced meet
the highest quality standards. This role involves monitoring the manufacturing process,
conducting tests, and implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry
standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance:
o Monitor and evaluate the production process to ensure barrels meet quality
standards.
o Implement and enforce quality control procedures and guidelines throughout the
manufacturing process.
2. Inspection and Testing:
o Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished
barrels to ensure they meet quality specifications.
o Perform various tests, including strength, durability, and leak tests, to assess the
quality of the barrels.
o Document and report any deviations or defects found during inspections and
testing.
3. Compliance:
o Ensure that all products comply with industry standards, customer requirements,
and regulatory guidelines.
o Keep up-to-date with changes in quality standards, regulations, and best practices
in the barrels manufacturing industry.
4. Continuous Improvement:
o Analyze quality control data to identify areas for improvement in the
manufacturing process.
o Collaborate with the production team to implement process improvements that
enhance product quality and reduce defects.
o Participate in regular quality audits and recommend corrective actions when
necessary.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, tests, and results.
o Prepare detailed reports on quality control activities and present findings to
management.
o Ensure proper documentation of non-conformances, corrective actions, and
preventive measures.
6. Training and Development:
o Train and guide production staff on quality control standards, procedures, and
best practices.
o Assist in developing and updating quality control manuals, standard operating
procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
7. Problem Resolution:
o Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
o Collaborate with other departments, such as production and supply chain, to
address and prevent quality problems.
Qualifications:
 Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
 Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the
manufacturing industry, preferably in barrels or related products.
Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of quality control principles, manufacturing processes, and
industry standards.
o Familiarity with testing methods and equipment used in the barrels manufacturing
industry.
Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
 Certifications: Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
Working Conditions:
 Primarily works in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery, noise, and
varying temperatures.
 May require occasional lifting, standing for extended periods, and use of personal
protective equipment (PPE).
