Job Overview:

Pune Institute of Business Management is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Assistant Professor with a Ph.D. to join our faculty. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) Projects and delivering Management Development Programs (MDP) for corporate clients. This position requires an individual with a strong background in consulting, training, and academic research. The role also includes responsibilities related to student counseling and guiding research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. MSME Project Management:
  • Lead and manage MSME-focused projects, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and industry needs.
  • Develop and implement Management Development Programs tailored to the specific needs of MSME companies.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate partners to facilitate MDP engagements.
  • Design and deliver high-impact training programs, addressing the management and development needs of MSME clients.
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and provide strategic solutions.
  1. Corporate Engagement:
  • Travel as required to meet with corporate clients and deliver MDPs.
  • Engage in business development activities to explore new opportunities for consulting and training with MSME companies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
  1. Academic Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, entrepreneurship, and related areas.
  • Develop and enhance course materials that incorporate practical MDP experiences and real-world case studies.
  • Conduct research in management and MSME development, aiming for high-quality publications in reputable journals.
  • Participate in academic conferences and contribute to the academic community through research and presentations.
  1. Student Counseling and Guidance:
  • Provide academic advising and career counseling to students, with a focus on management consulting and MSME-related career paths.
  • Mentor students in their research projects, theses, and internships, offering guidance and support.
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  1. Research and Publications:
  • Conduct original research in areas related to MSME management and development.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Contribute to the institution’s research initiatives and academic reputation.
  1. Administrative and Professional Development:
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other institutional activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in management and MSME practices.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience in delivering Management Development Programs to MSME companies.
  • Strong background in academic teaching, research, and student mentorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with and engage corporate clients effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to travel for business purposes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both academic and corporate stakeholders.
