Job Description:

Industry: BFSI (Investment Banking)

Experience: 3+ years

Location: No location constraint (Bangalore preferred)

Role Overview


We are looking for a skilled and motivated L3 SRE and DevOps Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical systems, with a focus on automation, efficient incident resolution, and continuous improvement in the BFSI domain.

Key Responsibilities


  • System Administration & Support:

  • Manage and troubleshoot Unix/Linux systems, including commands like chmod, grep, and system resource monitoring tools (top, free, df).
  • Write basic shell scripts to automate routine tasks.
  • Application Support:

  • Debug and enhance Java-based applications, with a focus on basic Java concepts (OOP, Collections, Data Types).
  • Perform simple coding tasks such as string manipulation and array operations.
  • Configuration Management:

  • Manage application settings and configurations for frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.

  • Authentication Systems:

  • Understand and provide support for Authentication Mechanisms, including SSO and LDAP.

  • Release Management:

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab (preferred) and Jenkins.
  • Manage source code with Git, including advanced commands like rebase, merge, conflict resolution, and stash.
  • Job Scheduling and Automation:

  • Work with scheduling tools such as Autosys and Ctrl+M to optimize workflows.

  • Incident Management & Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve system performance issues through monitoring and debugging.
  • Use tools like IAM to manage identity and access control.

Required Skills


  • Technical Skills:

  • Unix/Linux: Proficiency in shell scripting and basic system commands.
  • Java: Knowledge of OOP, Collections, Data Types, and debugging.
  • CI/CD: Hands-on experience with GitLab/Jenkins pipelines.
  • Git: Proficiency in basic commands.
  • Tools & Frameworks:

  • Spring, Spring Boot for configuration management.
  • Autosys, Ctrl+M for scheduling.
  • Preferred Knowledge:

  • Authentication technologies (SSO, LDAP).
  • IAM tools for access control and management.
  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in BFSI domain especially in Investment Banking.
  • Familiarity with high-availability and disaster recovery concepts.

  • Remote location options with preference for Bangalore.
