Designation / Role : Principal AssociateLocation: MumbaiPractice Area: Indirect Tax Litigation / AdvisoryMajor role and responsibilities & Required Skill Set:- Good analytical skills with ability to research on Indirect Tax / GST databases. - Strong command over English with sound legal drafting skills (most critical). - Knowledge of case laws with relevant legal framework, good understanding of regulatory updates and a basic understanding of its impact on the assigned clients. - Effective presentation and communication skills. - Ability to create and disseminate updates on latest trends to the team. - Ability to do quick research to develop theoretical understanding of the laws and acts.Required Skill Set:- The incumbent will handle engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws including drafting replies, appeals, writ petitions, briefing counsels and senior counsels. - Assignments will also include tax advisory and consulting.Behavioral Competency:- Learning agility: Recognizes information/knowledge that may be useful and proactively shares materials that may be helpful to others - Client centricity: Is able to provide innovative client solutions, that are both legally and commercially viable - Teamwork and collaboration: Give constructive feedback to and invites feedback from others - Process orientation: Ensures adherence to process and quality standards in the team output - Personal effectiveness: Displays planning & organizing skills and educates others on work processes/ procedures - Communication and influencing skills: Communicate assertively, presents, and defends own view with convictionQualification: CA / LLBExperience: Minimum of 6+ years work experience in Tax Litigation.
