Job Title:Planning Engineer Department:Projects / Planning Location:PuneJob Purpose: To support and lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control activities ensuring timely project execution, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Scheduling Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules usingPrimavera P6 / MS Project . Developbaseline schedules , monitor project progress, and update timelines regularly. Identifycritical paths , potential delays, and propose mitigation plans. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors for schedule inputs and progress updates. For Senior level: Lead planning discussions, establish work breakdown structures (WBS), and integrate multi-discipline schedules. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Track project performance using measurable indicators (progress %, earned value, etc.). Prepareweekly and monthly progress reports , dashboards, and presentations. Highlight deviations from baseline schedules and suggest corrective actions. For Junior level: Assist in data collection, update daily progress sheets, and support report preparation. Resource & Cost Planning Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and site teams to align resource allocation with project schedules. For Senior level: Conductresource levelingandcost loadingin Primavera; forecast manpower, equipment, and material requirements. Coordination & Communication Participate in project review meetings and client coordination for progress updates. Ensure effective communication between planning, site execution, and management teams. Support documentation and record-keeping related to project milestones. Risk & Delay Analysis Identify potential risks affecting timelines and preparedelay analysisorextension of time (EoT)documentation. For Senior level: Conduct forensic schedule analysis and support claims preparation.Qualifications & Experience: Education:B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil / Construction / Project Management or related field. Experience:3 - 8 years of experience in project planning and coordination. preferably in residential/commercial real estate.Skills & Competencies: Proficiency inPrimavera P6 ,MS Project , andExcel (advanced) . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Understanding ofconstruction sequencing ,BOQ , andcost control . Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects (for Senior level).
