PPOSITION : Direct Tax Manager
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Support direct tax team to manage, plan, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATTION:
- Qualified CA with 2-4 years of experience.
- Has experience in direct tax technical knowledge, practical experience in industry preferable, problem solving, managing stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Extensive knowledge of direct tax laws and practices across compliance, litigation, and advisory.
- Ensuring direct tax and TDS compliance, including timely payments and accurate filings.
- Strong understanding of business dynamics to align tax laws with organizational needs.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver tax-related inputs.
- Interaction with tax authorities to effectively represent the company’s perspective.
- Active involvement in audits, offering tax-related support and oversight.
- Participation in contract reviews to ensure tax compliance and risk mitigation.
- Acting as an in-house tax advisor, offering practical solutions and supporting their implementation.
- Conducting technical research, drafting responses, and developing tax positions
- Keeping internal stakeholders informed about key queries and responses across USL and its subsidiaries.
- Maintaining bookkeeping standards through GL reviews and reconciliations.
- Staying updated on tax-related developments and emerging trends.
