Job Description
Qeleo Technolabs is looking for a full-time Shopify App Product Manager to join our team. As a Shopify App Product Manager, you’re responsible for overseeing the development, enhancement, and lifecycle of Shopify & Other Similar Ecommerce Platform apps—whether they’re created in-house or through partnerships. Your role combines elements of traditional product management with specific nuances related to app ecosystems and Shopify's platform. Here’s a breakdown of what the role typically involves :
Key Responsibilities:
App Strategy and Vision:
- Develop a strategic vision for the app that aligns with Shopify & Other Similar Ecommerce Platform apps ecosystem and meets the needs of merchants.
- Identify market opportunities and gaps that the app can address, ensuring it provides value to users and stands out in the Shopify App Store.
User Research and Insights:
- Conduct research to understand the needs and pain points of Shopify & Other Similar Ecommerce Platform merchants and partners.
- Gather and analyze feedback from users to guide feature development and app improvements.
Roadmap and Prioritization:
- Create and manage a product roadmap that outlines the development, release, and enhancement of the app.
- Prioritize features and improvements based on user needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure the app is developed according to specifications and launched successfully.
- Communicate product requirements, updates, and vision clearly across teams.
Feature Development and Management:
- Define and document feature requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with developers to ensure features are built to spec and meet quality standards.
App Performance Monitoring:
- Track app performance using metrics such as user engagement, conversion rates, and retention.
- Analyze data to identify trends, assess the success of features, and make data-driven decisions for improvements.
User Experience and Support:
- Ensure the app provides a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Work with customer support teams to address user issues and incorporate feedback into the product development process.
App Store Optimization and Marketing:
- Develop strategies for promoting the app within the Shopify App Store, including optimizing listings and managing reviews.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive awareness and adoption of the app.
Comliance and Updates:
- Ensure the app complies with Shopify’s guidelines and any relevant regulations or standards.
- Stay updated on changes in Shopify’s platform and adjust the app as needed to maintain compatibility.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive apps.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the app’s functionality and user experience.
Skills and Qualities:
- E-commerce Knowledge: Understanding the Shopify platform and the broader e-commerce landscape.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of app development processes and technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and teams.
