Job title - SAP DMS consultant


Job duration - 3 months extendable


Salary budget - 45k Per month


1. Implementation and Configuration:


Configure and implement SAP DMS modules, including setup of document types, storage locations, and document status networks.


Define DMS-specific workflows and ensure efficient document versioning and control.


2. Integration:


Integrate SAP DMS with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, PP, PM, SD) and third-party systems.


Develop and manage interfaces with external document systems.


3. Business Process Analysis:


Gather requirements from business stakeholders and map them to SAP DMS capabilities.


Analyze and improve document management-related business processes to enhance efficiency.


4. Support and Troubleshooting:


Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects related to SAP DMS.


Ensure minimal downtime by proactively monitoring and maintaining the DMS system.


5. Customization and Development:


Work with ABAP developers to customize and enhance the functionality of SAP DMS.


Develop reports and dashboards to track document-related KPIs.


6. Training and Documentation:


Conduct end-user training sessions and create user guides and reference materials for SAP DMS.


Document all configuration changes and developments for future reference.


7. Compliance and Security:


Ensure compliance with legal and organizational document retention policies.


Set up access control mechanisms to ensure document security and integrity.


8. Project Management:


Participate in SAP DMS-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, or rollouts.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage timelines and deliverables.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


1. Technical Expertise:


Hands-on experience in SAP DMS implementation, configuration, and support.


Strong understanding of document workflows, authorization management, and version control in SAP.


Proficiency in SAP GUI, Easy DMS, and Content Server.


2. Functional Knowledge:


Knowledge of industry-specific document management processes.


Familiarity with related SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, or PLM.


3. Soft Skills:


Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
