Job Purpose
To generate quality investment ideas from multiple sectors (preferably from IT, Chemical and Pharma) for the PMS fund and tracking portfolio companies
Key Responsibilities
Job description
- Developing screeners and comprehensive analytical framework to filter out stocks for focused research.
- Deep down research on filtered out stocks which involves exhaustive financial analysis; meeting with company management/stakeholders/channel partners; attending AGMs/earning calls and any other possible research tools
- Working on Financial Models; updating historical numbers, building financial projections and carrying out valuation using appropriate methodology.
- Analyze and recommend companies for investment from the assigned industries/sectors universe
- Building and maintaining databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators/industry KPIs; Tracking news, events and results of the companies under coverage
Job Requirements
- Qualifications MBA/ PGDM (Finance) from a reputed Institute/ CA; CFA (US) would be an added advantage.
- Experience >=8 Years in equity research (preferably in buy side firms) with experience in multiple sectors
Functional Competencies
- Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling and valuation tools like DCF, valuation multiples etc.
- Excellent Communication (both oral & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding about the macro and micro economic environment for several businesses/ sectors
- Proficiency in the computer skills required for the job. Knowledge of VBA, Excel
- Macros would be an added advantage
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
