Role Overview:
As a Business Development leader for Packaging Solutions, you will drive new business growth by identifying and targeting potential clients needing packaging solutions, developing and executing sales stratkegies, and building strong relationships to understand their packaging requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in packaging solutions or supply chain sales, achieving substantial success, and exceptional communication skills, within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Business Planning: Develop a comprehensive business plan to acquire clients for packaging solutions in a time-bound manner. Establishing a targeted client acquisition strategy will be key to your success.
- Consultative Selling: Act as a solutions expert in packaging, maintaining strong client relationships, and tailoring solutions and pitches to meet client specifications and expectations.
- Prospect Nurturing: Nurture warm prospects and identify new potential sales opportunities by understanding Prozo’s packaging solutions and the unique needs they fulfill.
- Lead Generation: Lead the team in generating leads and building a sales funnel through on-ground visits, cold calling, and email outreach focused on packaging solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, actively engaging with their points of contact for the next steps in the sales cycle.
- Commercial Scoping and Design: Collaborate closely with the Solution Design (Pre-sales) team to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and close contracts, ensuring alignment with Prozo’s packaging solutions and client needs.
- MIS & Reporting: Ensure the team maintains and updates all client information related to packaging solutions on CRM and any data points required by the CEO’s and CRO’s offices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in front-end business development, packaging solutions, or supply chain consulting roles
- Preferred Industries: Packaging solutions, 3PL warehousing & freight, contract logistics, or supply chain consulting
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of ownership, genuine problem-solving approach, and strong client advisory skills
