Job Description:


The Project Quantity Surveyor plays a critical role in construction projects by managing and controlling costs throughout the project's lifecycle. This position involves accurately estimating quantities and costs, conducting cost analysis, and ensuring that projects are completed within the defined budget.


Responsibilities: To work with the team in Dubai

  • Preparation of measurement sheets and assist in quantity take-off for tenders
  • Prepare and analyse costing for tenders
  • Provide advice on contractual claims
  • Assist in cost estimation and planning
  • Compiling and comparing subcontractor tenders
  • Assist in the planning and various stages of project
  • Preparation of variations in the BOQ and new rates for variations
  • Evaluate Subcontractors claims in accordance with the bill of quantities and checking of actual site accomplishments
  • Evaluate suppliers/sub-contractor’s invoices and prepare the corresponding certificate of payment
  • Coordinate with the Site-in-charge for inspection and quality issues including closure on Non-Conformance Report
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external parties to negotiate and secure favorable pricing and terms for materials and services.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the project team on cost-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects, Specifically building construction.
  • at least 5 minimum years experience as QS in building construction.
