Role and Responsibilities:


  • Commodity Derivatives Trading: Execute day-to-day commodity derivatives trading in alignment with trading plans, while monitoring trade portfolio positions and market conditions.
  • Market Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of the commodity market to optimize trade portfolios and execute effective trading strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to trade controls and guidelines to safeguard the firm’s commodity derivative positions and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Application: Utilize derivative portfolio strategies to navigate various market trends and economic conditions.
  • Technological Integration: Apply the latest technology to enhance trading operations.
  • Record Analysis: Assist in reviewing records and data to assess the effectiveness of trading activities.
  • Market Monitoring: Track commodity derivative exchanges by following movements in exchange products and real-time news to identify intra-day, short-term, and long-term trading opportunities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain an excellent understanding of supply chain dynamics, production processes, and pricing mechanisms within the base metals industry and other tradable commodities on commodity exchanges.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling, trading software, and data analysis tools commonly used in commodity trading.
  • Global Trading: Trade on strategies in both domestic and international markets.
  • Automated Strategies: Develop and execute various automated trading strategies.
  • Systematic Execution: Manage the systematic execution of global arbitrage algorithms.
  • Strategy Monitoring: Continuously monitor strategies for accuracy and outlier events.
  • Global Market Tracking: Keep abreast of global markets and news events that may impact trading.
  • Risk Management: Apply hedging techniques and risk management strategies.
  • Attention to Detail: Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to perform well under pressure.



Educational Background:


  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Finance is required.
  • Exposure to trading is desirable, and experience in a High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firm is preferable.
