As a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in NLP, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models and NLP solutions. Your role will involve designing, developing and deploying NLP models for various text-related tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Model Development: Design and implement machine learning models, with a focus on NLP tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and language generation.
  • Model Training and Evaluation: Train, fine-tune, and validate machine learning models for NLP tasks. Utilize appropriate metrics and techniques to assess and improve model performance.
  • Data Processing: Clean, preprocess, and transform textual data to prepare it for model training and integration.
  • Algorithm Research: Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in NLP. Implement state-of-the-art algorithms and methodologies to enhance model capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, software developers, and product managers, to integrate machine learning solutions into our products and services.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field from Tier 1 institutions. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience in in model training and evaluation and applying NLP techniques such as text classification and NER.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g., NLTK, spaCy) is a must and familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers, BERT etc is a plus.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Extremely process driven with a hunger to constantly improve oneself is a must
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with a focus on innovation.
