We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and the overall architecture of the CMS platform. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring they are responsive, optimized, and meet client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • WordPress Development & Design: Build custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring they are optimized, secure, and scalable.
  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain existing WordPress websites, ensuring they are running smoothly and are free from bugs or security vulnerabilities.
  • Customization & Optimization: Customize themes and plugins to meet specific client needs, optimizing site performance for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work with the design and content teams to implement website layouts, navigation, and other elements that align with the brand’s vision.
  • Content Management: Assist clients with content updates and ensure the site’s content management system is user-friendly for non-technical users.
  • Security & Backups: Implement security best practices, including regular backups, security updates, and monitoring for potential threats.
  • Client Support: Provide technical support to clients, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • SEO & Analytics: Ensure WordPress sites are optimized for search engines and integrate with analytics tools to track performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Experience with popular WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first web development.
  • Experience with website performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, image compression).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Yoast, Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with website security practices and tools.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and services into WordPress.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads).
  • Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with advanced WordPress frameworks (e.g., Genesis, Underscores).
  • Ability to write custom JavaScript/jQuery for enhanced functionality.
  • Familiarity with website accessibility guidelines (WCAG).

Education and Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in WordPress development or a related role.
