Job Description

User onboarding specialist

• Be the first touchpoint for freelancers and clients after they sign up.

• Handhold users through their first aha moment — profile setup, job posting, or AI-assisted work.

• Run onboarding calls, walkthroughs, and demos to activate users quickly.

• Spot friction points and work closely with product + tech to fix them fast.

• Build scalable onboarding playbooks, guides, and video explainers.

• Track onboarding metrics (activation %, first job posted/completed, etc.) and own user success in

the first 30 days.

• Collect raw feedback from the ground and feed it back into our product loop.

• Hustle with the growth team to turn early users into loyal advocates.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years in onboarding, customer success, or community roles (startup/marketplace experience

= bonus).

• Strong communicator who can simplify tech for anyone.

• Empathy + problem-solving mindset — you love helping people succeed.

• Comfortable working in chaos and creating structure out of it.

• Curious, adaptable, and excited to wear multiple hats in a fast-scaling startup.
