Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced US Mortgage Quality Control (QC) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage quality control, particularly with experience working with top QC companies such as MetaSource, QC Ally, or similar. The QC Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of loan files through meticulous review and adherence to regulatory guidelines. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of mortgage processes and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Loan File Review:
  • Perform in-depth reviews of loan files to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and investor guidelines.
  • Verify accuracy of data entered in loan files, including income, assets, liabilities, and property details.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Identify and report discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in loan files and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Assess risk factors and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and investor requirements.
  • Conduct audits to identify and mitigate potential risks in the loan process.
  • Quality Control Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed QC reports summarizing findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the management team on QC findings and trends.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the underwriting, processing, and closing teams to address quality issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Liaise with external QC vendors, such as MetaSource and QC Ally, to ensure alignment with external audit standards and procedures.
  • Training and Process Improvement:
  • Assist in developing and delivering training sessions on QC policies and procedures to enhance team performance and compliance.
  • Recommend process improvements based on QC findings to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of loan processing.


Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in mortgage quality control, preferably with top QC companies like MetaSource, QC Ally, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex findings effectively.
  • Proficiency in using QC software and tools for auditing and reporting.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan origination processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
