Key Responsibilities :

Secure Software Development :

- Develop and implement secure software solutions for embedded systems on QNX/Linux platforms, focusing on SOC-based systems.

- Ensure that the software meets security standards and mitigates potential Integration :

- Design, develop, and integrate encryption/decryption algorithms within the system, ensuring that the software complies with industry security best practices.

Threat Modeling and Vulnerability Assessments :

- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks across the software development lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g, hardware, firmware, and software teams) to design and implement key security features like secure boot and secure storage for embedded systems.

System Hardening :

- Continuously improve system hardening techniques and secure coding practices to protect the system against potential threats.

- Apply best practices to make the system resilient against attacks.

Security Compliance :

- Ensure all solutions are designed in accordance with security compliance standards, and adhere to relevant security certifications and guidelines.

Must Have Skills :

- C++ programming for embedded systems, with a focus on secure software development.

- Strong knowledge of QNX and Linux operating systems, particularly in the context of security hardening and SOC-based system development.

- Expertise in encryption/decryption algorithms (e.g, AES, RSA) and integration of cryptographic libraries.

- Hands-on experience with SELinux, SMACK, and other Linux security modules.

- Knowledge of secure boot, secure storage, and techniques to protect against unauthorized access to embedded systems.

- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling.

- Understanding of system hardening and secure coding practices in embedded systems.

Desired Skills :

- Experience working with SOC (System on Chip) and embedded hardware platforms.

- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded system security.

- Understanding of industry security certifications (e.g, Common Criteria, FIPS).

- Familiarity with other security frameworks like TLS/SSL, PKI, and HSM (Hardware Security Modules).

- Ability to work with version control systems like Git and development tools like make, CMake, and GDB
