Job Title:SDN Technology Test Engineer Experience:3–4 years Location:Bangalore (Candidates must be based in Bangalore) Job Summary: We are looking for an experiencedSDN Technology Test Engineerwith strong expertise inSoftware Defined Networking (SDN)architecture and testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SDN controllers, networking protocols, and automation tools in virtualized and containerized environments. Key Responsibilities: Perform functional and performance testing of SDN solutions across control, data, and application planes. Validate SDN controllers such asOpenDaylight ,ONOS ,Cisco ACI ,VMware NSX , andJuniper Contrail . Design and execute test cases for networking protocols includingTCP/IP ,VLAN ,BGP ,OSPF ,MPLS ,GRE ,VXLAN ,OpenFlow , andNETCONF/YANG . Work withLinux networkingand virtual environments ( VMware/KVM ) for test setups. Develop automation scripts usingPython ,Bash , andAnsible . Test containerized SDN applications inDockerandKubernetesenvironments. Utilize network emulation/simulation tools such asMininet ,GNS3 , andEVE-NGfor test scenarios. Perform API testing using tools likePostmanandREST Assured . Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong understanding ofSDN architecture(control plane, data plane, application plane). Hands-on experience withSDN controllers(OpenDaylight, ONOS, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Juniper Contrail). Proficiency in networking protocols:TCP/IP ,VLAN ,BGP ,OSPF ,MPLS ,GRE ,VXLAN ,OpenFlow ,NETCONF/YANG . Experience withLinux networkingand virtualization ( VMware/KVM ). Scripting and automation skills inPython ,Bash , andAnsible . Familiarity withDocker ,Kubernetes , and microservices architecture. Exposure to network simulation tools ( Mininet ,GNS3 ,EVE-NG ). Experience with API testing tools ( Postman ,REST Assured ). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of SDN testing frameworks and methodologies. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
