Position: SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Chennai (Hybrid)

Exp : 8+ yrs



About the Role

The role requires the candidate to serve as a Scrum Master for multiple projects/teams, leading them to apply the Scrum framework and best practices.


Responsibilities

  • Be the Scrum Master in Scrum teams, lead multiple teams, and guide them to use best practices in Scrum.
  • Drive, and Coordinate Backlog grooming, Planning, Demo, retrospective, and daily stand-ups.
  • Work with the Product Owners to manage backlog and requests.
  • Resolve issues and remove obstacles for Scrum teams.
  • Own and Manage Project schedule and deliverables.
  • Apply knowledge in Software Product Life Cycle and different software development methodologies.
  • Actively manage risks, help to have creative mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Report and communicate regularly; escalate when project goals are at risk.
  • Build strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Support processes and tools that standardize software development activities.
  • Identify Process inefficiencies and suggest and implement improvements.


Qualifications

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:



  • Certified Scrum Master, and practice Scrum for at least 1 year.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum principles.
  • 3-5 years experience in Software Project Management - in software industry interacting with hardware products.
  • Must understand the connection between Hardware, embedded software and software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Software Project Management Standard, Development Cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning & organization skills - extremely self-organizing.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across organizations and geographies and interact, influence and negotiate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Travel - once every 6 months.


Preferred Skills

  • Formal Project Management training and Certification (PMP).
