Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager for our health insurance division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the General/Health Insurance sector, with a proven track record in team leadership, sales management, and business development. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing, and training a team of Field Sales Executives to achieve sales targets, drive new business, and expand our client base.
Key Responsibilities:
•Team Building & Leadership:
oHire, train, and onboard a team of Field Sales Executives (FSEs) who will promote health insurance products to our existing and new clients.
oDevelop and implement effective training programs for the sales team, ensuring they are well-versed in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
oMotivate, inspire, and lead the team to achieve individual and team targets while maintaining high levels of performance.
oFoster a collaborative, positive work environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and innovation.
•Sales Strategy & Target Management:
oDevelop and implement sales strategies to grow the business, focusing on both existing client relationships and new client acquisition.
oSet clear sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, regularly tracking performance and adjusting strategies as needed.
oMonitor field sales activities, providing feedback and support to drive improvements in sales performance.
oAnalyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
•Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
oOversee the sales team's efforts in targeting and acquiring new clients for health insurance products.
oManage key client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
oWork closely with the marketing and customer support teams to enhance the customer experience and ensure smooth onboarding.
•Reporting & Performance Tracking:
oPrepare regular reports on sales performance, team progress, and market insights for senior management.
oMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each sales team member, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure targets are met.
oUse CRM tools and other sales management systems to track leads, opportunities, and sales progress.
•Compliance & Market Knowledge:
oEnsure that all sales activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
oStay updated on industry trends, health insurance products, and regulatory changes to maintain expertise and ensure the team’s knowledge remains current.
•Collaboration with Internal Teams:
oWork closely with other departments, including operations, claims, and underwriting, to ensure smooth processes and alignment in delivering services to clients.
oProvide feedback to product teams regarding customer needs and market demand, contributing to product development and enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience:
•Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Insurance-related certifications (e.g., IRDAI) are a plus.
•Experience:
o5+ years of experience in the General/Health Insurance industry with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership or sales management role.
oProven experience in hiring, training, and managing a team of field sales executives or similar positions.
oStrong knowledge of health insurance products, market dynamics, and sales techniques.
oExperience in managing KPIs and sales targets with a results-driven approach.
•Skills:
oExcellent leadership, team-building, and mentoring abilities.
oStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
oAnalytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to sales.
oProficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
oAbility to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
