We are looking for:PG in International Business / Economics / MBA / MBE / Public Policy with 12 – 18 years of experiencePrincipal Accountabilities:Keep track of developments in the international domain with particular focus on AfricaAbility to spot important areas for focus in India – Africa economic relationshipsAbility to identify Indian companies with business interests in Africa and develop strong relationships with themAbility to communicate with key members and persuade them to join for FICCI engagementsHandle primary / secondary research for African regionManage activities required to be undertaken under FICCI Africa CouncilsMaintain and update FICCI Africa Council lists from time to timeConceptualize events on topics of interest to Indian businesses as per advice of the leadershipsInterest for organising conferences, roundtables, webinars, investor meets, exhibitions, B2B meetings as required from time to timeMaintain and update database of Indian Missions and Foreign Missions for African countriesMaintain close relations with the Regional Desks at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and DOC and DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), Govt. of India, Indian and Foreign missionsNetwork/collaborate with FICCI MOU Partners/chamber counterparts on joint initiatives in this regionHandle responsibilities for inbound and outbound delegationsPrepare concept notes, Background Papers, Presentations etc.Enthusiasm to raise funding / sponsorships for eventsMembership development and servicing of existing membersKeep a close watch on the activities/events of other organisations that are similar to FICCI and operate in the same regionsSupport the team leader in meeting the goals set for the DivisionCompetencies:Technical (Knowledge, Skills, Attitude)Understanding of policy landscape, investment promotion, international trade, business priorities in African countriesBasic understanding of the working of Govt of India, State Governments, Investment Authorities and Key line MinistriesGood letter drafting and report making skillsStrong Research and Analytical skillsGood Computer SkillsAbility to make prompt and crisp social media tweets, posts and coordinate with social media team of FICCIPreparation of post event reports, Executive Committee briefs, Inputs for FICCI Magazine etc in a time bound manner post completion of eventsGeneric / ManagerialA self-starter with passion for initiatives in AfricaAttention to details, ability to multitask on projects and work under pressureGood written and verbal communication skillsGood interpersonal skillsGood team player with team goal in mind when working on projects
