Elecbits is a tech-enabled B2B organization that helps Electronics Enterprises to go from an idea to a shelf ready, commercial Electronics Product. We cover the end-to-end intricacies involved in the Electronics product development & manufacturing cycle using 25+ micro-services on our platform.


As a Senior Hardware Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware components and systems for our products. You will ensure that designs meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role will also involve performing detailed design analysis, conducting feasibility studies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities :


Hardware Design & Development :


- Design and develop electronic hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.


- Ensure designs meet performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability Collaboration :


- Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers to define and develop hardware requirements and specifications.


- Work closely with teams to integrate hardware with software and mechanical components.


Advanced Design Analysis :


- Perform Signal Integrity (SI) analysis, Power Distribution Network (PDN) analysis, and Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) analysis.


- Conduct thorough design analysis, simulation, and validation to meet industry standards and safety Studies & Research :


- Conduct feasibility studies and research to evaluate new technologies, components, and design approaches.


- Apply findings to enhance product performance and functionality.


Design Reviews & Leadership :


- Lead and participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and ensuring design integrity and quality.


- Guide and mentor team members to achieve project goals and adhere to timelines.


Supplier & Manufacturer Collaboration :


- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to select and source components.


- Manage component obsolescence, resolve technical issues, and support mass manufacturing of at least 5,000 units.


Documentation & Compliance :


- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, schematics, layout guidelines, and test

plans.


- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with certification standards such as BIS, CE, and WPC.


IoT Design & Development :


- Design solutions for IoT devices, including architecture and hardware prototype development.


- Experience in developing IoT products from scratch and working with System on Modules (SOM) such as Quectel, Neoway, and SIMCOM.


Testing & Quality Assurance :


- Draft and execute automatic hardware testing processes, test cases, and test fixtures.


- Perform hardware testing and quality assurance to ensure product reliability and compliance


Continuous Improvement & Industry Trends :


- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.


- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on cost reduction, design optimization, and increased efficiency.


The ideal candidate key requirements :


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.


- 7+ years of experience in hardware design with expertise in digital and analog circuit design.


- Proficiency in PCB design and layout tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, PADS Layout, Dx Designer, Hyperlynx, CAM350, GC Preview, and ADS.


- Experience in designing EMI/EMC compliant products and drafting DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).


- Hands-on experience with IoT product development and SOM modules.


- Basic understanding of firmware and firmware-level debugging.


- Strong proficiency in hardware architecture and design, R&D, and proof-of-concept development.


- Experience with mass manufacturing and high-volume production.


- Deep understanding of certification standards and regulatory requirements.


- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform detailed design analysis and testing.
