Role/ Job Title: Lead Data Governance

Function/ Department: Data & Management


Job Purpose:

Job holder’s primary responsibility is to monitor for data accuracy, data gaps across banks critical data repositories like Data Lake, BIU Data warehouse, Regulatory data marts.


Primary Responsibilities of the Role-

  • Develop control structures to ensure data quality and data lineage across critical data repositories.
  • Conceptualize and review of Data Quality Functional and Technical Rules
  • Ensuring the periodic monitoring of the DQ parameters and work with the Operational, Business and Tech teams to ensure the data gaps are remediated.
  • Need to ensure the complete meta data management.
  • Perform detailed profiling of the data, data relationships to strength the data quality.

  • Develop and implement guidelines, processes, and norms across the Bank for the handling of data at various stages in its lifecycle as well as the provision of advice on proper data handling and resolution of data breaches in a range of complex, ambiguous or multi-faceted contexts.
  • Develop a robust and coherent data strategy and support architectures, policies, practices, and procedures that enable the organization to manage utilize data in an effective manner.
  • Implement contemporary techniques, dynamic visual displays with illustrative and interactive graphics to present patterns, trends, analytical insights from data or new concepts in a strategic manner for the intended audience.
  • Design and refine solution blueprints to guide the data governance to meet current and future business needs.
  • Displays the ability to approach existing situations and problems in a new manner and creates innovative solution.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset with a focus to better and improve things as well as ensure sustenance.
  • Works to achieve goals and shows a strong drive to follow through and complete what was started.

Secondary Responsibilities-

  • Stakeholder management with his pro-active communication around ETA of the deliverables.
  • Creating the project for data remediation tasks, tracking, and delivering on the agreed tasks as per the project timelines.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business requirements; working with business users/business analyst to define technical and process requirements.
  • Leading the team by example.
  • Develop highly skilled and motivated tableau reporting team.
  • Upskill the team.
  • Manage team and ensure productivity and quality of the deliverable.
  • Attract and retain best in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure.


Key Success Metrics-

  • Accurate and consistent data.
  • Timely DQ checks and ensuring no data quality issues in BIU Datamart’s


Education:

Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)

Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
