Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mobile Application Developer at OptByte Software Solutions. As a Mobile Application Developer, your day-to-day tasks will involve mobile application development, utilizing your skills in object-oriented programming (OOP) and iOS development. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining mobile applications that meet the needs of our clients and enhance their user experience.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Designing and developing mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans.
  3. Implementing features and functionalities according to design specifications, coding standards, and best practices.
  4. Conducting thorough testing of mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
  5. Identifying and troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolution to ensure smooth operation of the applications.
  6. Optimizing mobile applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
  7. Keeping up to date with the latest mobile development trends, tools, and technologies.
  8. Participating in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Documenting technical designs, code, and processes to facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer.
  10. Working closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  11. Collaborating with backend developers to integrate mobile applications with server-side systems and APIs.
  12. Following agile development methodologies and participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.


Qualification and Requirement:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. (Preferred)
  2. Experience with Xamarian or Dot Net MAUI
  3. At least 3 years of experience in mobile app development
  4. Proven experience in mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms.
  5. Strong understanding of mobile app development frameworks and SDKs.
  6. Experience with mobile app architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or MVP.
  7. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
  8. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  9. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  10. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  11. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  12. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  13. Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks (e.g., Flutter) is a plus.
  14. Experience with backend development and RESTful APIs
  15. Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS or Azure
  16. Familiarity with mobile app security best practices
  17. Experience with app deployment to app stores such as Google Play or the App Store
