Optical Engineer – Stray Light Analysis (SPEOS & Zemax)Location: Remote (within India)Employment Type: Full timeYears of Experience: more than 2+ yearsRole:We are seeking a novice/Optical Engineer (2+ years) with keen interest in stray light analysis using Ansys SPEOS and Ansys Zemax Optic Studio. He/She will be responsible for analyzing optical design, export to SPEOS, and performing stray light in complex optical and illumination systems in SPEOS, ensuring system performance meets stringent imaging and illumination requirements, Generate more optical system design as per client requirements.Key Responsibilities:* Build, validate, and optimize optical models for lens systems, surfaces,optimization tolerancing in Zemax.* Perform stray light analysis for imaging, illumination, and optical sensor systemsusing SPEOS.* Identify ghost images, scattering, reflections, and diffraction effects in opticaldesigns.* Develop and validate using SPEOS GPU, use SPEOS material library models formaterials and coatings.* Use these results to propose mitigation strategies (baffles, coatings, surfacefinishes, apertures, filters).* Conduct trade-off studies with and without baffles and between CPU and GPU.* Generate clear technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internaland client reviews.* Stay updated with the latest methodologies and tool capabilities in stray lightmodeling.* Collaborate with senior optical engineers to apply advanced straylight mitigation strategies and integrate findings into product design.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Optics or Physics or Photonics or a related field.* Hands-on experience with stray light analysis using Ansys SPEOS and ZemaxOptic Studio (sequential & non-sequential ray tracing).* Strong knowledge of non-sequential ray tracing, ghost analysis, scattermodeling.* Experience in optical material properties, coatings, and surfaces .* Proficiency in CAD integration for opto- mechanical system modeling.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret simulationresults.* Excellent communication and reporting skills.Preferred Qualifications:* Knowledge in automotive lighting, optics, ODX export, mechanical designs* Familiarity with Python for post-processing, automation or analysis.* Hands-on experience with laboratory stray light measurements correlation withsimulation results.What We Offer:* Opportunity to work on cutting-edge optical systems across industries(automotive, aerospace, defense etc.,).* Collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.* Travel to customer engagement, technical presentation* Professional development in advanced optical simulation and design tools.
