Job Description : Application Lead SAP HCM On-Premises ABAPLocation : BengaluruExperience : Minimum 3 YearsRole Summary :As an Application Lead, you will take ownership of designing, building, and configuring SAP HCM applications within an on-premises environment. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into effective technical solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, oversee development activities, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality application components.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include problem-solving, guiding development teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be expected to stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to ensure the solutions remain robust, scalable, and efficient.Roles & Responsibilities :- Lead end-to-end application design, development, and configuration activities for SAP HCM On-Premises ABAP solutions.- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical developers.- Perform independently as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP HCM ABAP.- Participate actively in requirement gathering sessions, solution design workshops, and project discussions.- Provide technical guidance and contribute to solving complex application issues and enhancements.- Drive quality assurance activities, including code reviews, testing support, and performance optimization.- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team learning and technical capability.- Mentor and support junior team members to foster skill development and productivity.- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, documentation standards, and development best practices.- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless data and process flow across SAP modules.Professional & Technical Skills :Must-Have Skills :- Strong proficiency in SAP HCM On-Premises ABAP.- Hands-on experience in developing reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and custom objects within SAP HCM.- Solid understanding of application design principles, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques.- Experience working with SAP modules, cross-module integrations, and data migration techniques.- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues independently.- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile practices.Good to Have Skills :- Knowledge of SAP HCM functional processes and business flows.- Experience with HR Renewal, Fiori HR apps, or modern SAP UI frameworks.- Exposure to integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
