The ideal candidate is highly skilled in AWS serverless technologies and has hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, while also being comfortable learning and adapting to legacy environments (such as Solaris or MV database systems).If you enjoy solving complex challenges, modernizing legacy stacks, and enabling scalable architectures, this role is for you.Tech Stack :Backend : AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Node.jsFrontend : React / Next.js, React Native (Good to Have)Programming Languages : TypeScript, JavaScript, PythonInfrastructure : Terraform, GitHub Actions / CI-CD PipelinesKey Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient backend services using Node.js and AWS Lambda.- Lead or contribute to migration initiatives transitioning on-prem or legacy workloads to modern cloud environments.- Implement and optimize serverless architectures leveraging AWS services (API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).- Write clean, testable, and efficient TypeScript/Node.js code aligned with best practices.- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate backend APIs with modern frontend frameworks (React / React Native).- Implement and maintain security, monitoring, and backup strategies.- Drive automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) adoption using Terraform.- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy systems and propose solutions aligned with cloud-first principles.- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to improve delivery speed and reliability.- Foster a culture of learning, ownership, and innovation within the engineering team.Requirements :- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).- Proven experience in backend or platform engineering, with strong exposure to AWS serverless technologies.- Hands-on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda.- Solid understanding of API design, server-side architecture, and RESTful services.- Experience with Terraform and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions or similar).- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.- Familiarity with software engineering best practices and agile delivery methodologies.Preferred / Bonus Skills :- Experience in cloud migration projects, particularly from on-prem to AWS or Azure.- Understanding of legacy tech stacks (Solaris systems, MultiValue (MV) databases, or equivalent).- Exposure to Azure cloud services and architecture.- Willingness and curiosity to learn and work on non-traditional, legacy systems as part of modernization efforts.- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.- Start-up or product engineering experience where adaptability and initiative are key.Benefits :- Hybrid Working Culture- Amazing Perks & Medical Benefits- 5 Days Working- Mentorship programs & Certification Courses- Flexible work arrangements- Free drinks, fridge and snacks- Competitive Salary & recognitions (ref:hirist.tech)
