Job Title: SAP VIM Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: India (Remote/On-site as per client requirements)

Contract Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)

Job Overview:

Our client, a globally recognized leader in IT consulting and integration, is seeking a highly skilled SAP VIM Techno-Functional Consultant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale SAP VIM implementations and support activities, helping improve vendor invoice management processes for a diverse set of clients. The role requires a balance of technical expertise and functional knowledge to bridge business requirements with SAP VIM solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and Configuration: Lead or support the implementation of SAP VIM solutions, including vendor invoice processing, approvals, and integration with other SAP modules such as SAP MM, SAP FI, and SAP Workflow.
  • Technical Expertise: Work on the development and configuration of SAP VIM and its integration with SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments. This includes writing user exits, custom developments, and managing IDocs.
  • Requirements Gathering & Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and design techno-functional solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for SAP VIM, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, system upgrades, and patches.
  • Custom Development: Develop and enhance custom reports, forms (smart forms), workflows, and other technical artifacts to enhance the VIM solution as per client requirements.
  • Integration: Design and configure interfaces for seamless integration with SAP and third-party systems, ensuring smooth end-to-end processing of vendor invoices.
  • Documentation & Training: Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials. Conduct training sessions for end-users and key business stakeholders.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all developments and configurations meet functional and technical requirements. Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that project milestones, timelines, and quality standards are met.


Skills and Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in SAP VIM, with a strong emphasis on both techno-functional aspects.
  • At least 2 full-cycle implementations of SAP VIM, including configuration, development, and post-implementation support.
  • Experience in SAP integration, particularly with SAP MM, SAP FI, SAP Workflow, and other SAP modules.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SAP VIM architecture, configuration, and custom developments (BADI, user exits, IDocs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ABAP programming, especially related to VIM, is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in SAP Smartforms and SAP Workflow for vendor invoice approval processes.
  • Familiarity with S4/HANA and Fiori is a plus.


Functional Skills:

  • Expertise in understanding and translating business requirements related to Vendor Invoice Management into SAP configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MM, FI, and integration points with VIM.
  • Ability to perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements.


Tools and Technologies:

  • SAP VIM (Vendor Invoice Management)
  • SAP ECC / S/4HANA
  • SAP Fiori / UI5 (desirable)
  • SAP Workflow and Smartforms
  • Integration tools (IDoc, ALE, BAPI, RFC)
  • Strong understanding of SAP Basis and middleware tools


Additional Information:

  • The role may require travel depending on client requirements.
  • Remote work options available, but on-site presence in India may be required at various stages of the project.
