Designation : Senior Executive – IT

Department : IT

Reports to : Managing Director


Job Summary:

Responsible for IT infrastructure management with proper data security and looking after the networking and hardware maintenance of IT products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Backup scheduling, monitoring and recovery planning, execution
  • Support to implementation ISMS.
  • Plan BCP, document and execute disaster recovery drill
  • Anti-virus monitoring and control management
  • Emailing solution monitoring, maintenance and control management
  • Server maintenance and control management
  • Initial Project Environment Setup and support management
  • User creation and control management
  • Firewall control management
  • Processes scripting and management
  • Server hardware, OS & applications administration, security and control management
  • Access card administration and control
  • Infrastructure maintenance and control management
  • Systems & Security related R&D
  • Identify training needs and facilitate trainings
  • Provide internet access to organizational needs, with necessary anti-virus protection and monitoring.
  • Security of data controlled and monitored as per ISMS and implement these processes across the organization.
  • Provide continuous support for network and servers to enable the users to use their machines effectively
  • Domain Registration and Certificate management and installation
  • Team Management
  • Network monitoring and link connectivity checking on regular basis and coordinates with ISP
  • Hardware inventory, License maintaining with support document and follow-up with AMC
  • Vendor co-ordination
  • Assist in internal and external Audit
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


Key Metrics (KPI’s)


Support to user for system related issue - Daily

Timely Backup and performance maintenance of systems - Quarterly

Optimum utilization of IT Resources and minimization of Cost Expenses

Proper IT Asset Management – Annually


Skills & Competencies required:

Technical/Generic Skills


  • Sound knowledge on Network & Information security
  • Strong Knowledge on current trends in the specific field
  • Must have strong dedication to customer service
  • Knowledge on Oracle database
  • Professional certifications as appropriate (like ITIL, CCNA, CCNE etc)
  • Sound Knowledge on administering Linux, AIX servers. Experience in administering Windows server

Behavioral Skills

  • Interpersonal and conceptual skills
  • Good Communication skills


Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate with IT / Networking
  • Minimum 4 – 6 years in the field.
