SEO Coach

We are seeking a skilled and passionate SEO Coach to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in SEO strategies and execution, along with a strong ability to teach, mentor, and guide teams in adopting and evolving modern SEO practices. As an SEO Coach, you will play a critical role in enhancing our organization's search engine visibility, driving organic traffic, and improving overall rankings through technical and content-focused SEO strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and coach cross-functional teams on SEO fundamentals, advanced strategies, and best practices to ensure effective optimization across departments.
• Perform SEO audits, identify gaps, and develop tailored action plans to improve on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions covering SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link-building strategies, and technical SEO (site speed, mobile optimization, structured data, etc.).
• Guide content teams in aligning content creation with SEO goals and identify opportunities for content optimization and growth.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure proper SEO implementation, including meta tags, schema markup, and site architecture improvements.
• Assist teams in navigating Google algorithms, emphasizing their relevance, evolution, and impact on rankings.
• Help teams design and execute link-building campaigns, focusing on acquiring high-quality backlinks and avoiding black-hat SEO techniques.
• Monitor search engine rankings, traffic data, and SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and similar platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with SEO industry trends, algorithm updates, and new features/tools, setting strategies accordingly.
• Audit and optimize website UX/UI from an SEO perspective, supporting conversion rate optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape SEO strategies that are aligned with broader marketing objectives.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in SEO roles, with a track record of improving organic search performance for various websites.
• Proven experience mentoring and coaching diverse teams on SEO-related topics.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of both on-page and off-page SEO principles.
• Expertise in technical SEO, including handling site architecture, JavaScript SEO, crawlability, indexation, and more.
• Strong grasp of content marketing principles and their relationship with SEO.
• Familiarity with major CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.) and SEO plug-ins like Yoast or RankMath.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex SEO concepts into actionable insights for non-specialists.
• Experience staying updated on search engine algorithm updates (e.g., Google Core Updates) and modifying tactics to maintain or improve rankings.
• Proven ability to develop, execute, and iterate SEO strategies based on data analysis and performance indicators.
