ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of our iOS applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and excellent user experiences. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design and implement new features and improvements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality iOS applications for JioSaavn. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Help maintain code quality, organization, and continuous integration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and tools. Drive technical discussions and decisions for iOS projects.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in iOS development.
  • Proven experience with Swift and Objective-C. Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SwiftUI and its application in building modern iOS interfaces. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Deep understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. Experience with continuous integration and automated testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with media streaming technologies. Familiarity with audio/video processing frameworks.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with Instruments.
  • Understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and App Store Review Guidelines.
