Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Business Development to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in closing high-value deals and will be instrumental in driving our business forward. As the AVP of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and negotiating and finalizing contracts to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Closure: Lead negotiations and close high-value deals to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Develop strategies to overcome obstacles and ensure successful deal closures.
- Business Development Strategy: Formulate and execute business development strategies to identify and capture new business opportunities. Continuously assess market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations based on market data.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development and Lead generation team, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
- Proposal Development: Oversee the development of compelling proposals and presentations. Ensure proposals are tailored to meet client needs and demonstrate the value of our solutions.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on business development performance metrics. Analyze results and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.
- Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to support business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of closing high-value deals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IT service and consulting, staff augmentation is preferred.
