Position:Security Engineer – Checkpoint & Palo Alto (L4) Location:Mumbai Employment Type:Full-time Shift:Rotational Weekly Off:Depending on workload Joining Timeline:Immediate Experience:16 + yearsJob Description We are looking for an experiencedSecurity Engineer (L4) with expertise in Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls . The ideal candidate will have16+ years of experiencein enterprise security operations and will be responsible for leading advanced security implementations, designing secure network architectures, managing firewalls, and providing L4-level support for critical security incidents.Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manageCheckpoint and Palo Alto firewall environmentsin enterprise and data center networks. Leadsecurity architecture, configuration, and policy enforcementacross multi-site and multi-tenant environments. PerformL4-level troubleshootingfor firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, and other security devices. Implementsecurity best practices , including segmentation, threat prevention, and access control policies. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and risk mitigation. PrepareHLD/LLD security documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) . Integrate firewalls withnetwork, cloud, and endpoint security platforms . Collaborate withnetwork, infrastructure, and application teamsfor secure design and compliance. Mentor and guide junior security engineers, providing technical leadership for escalations. Stay updated with the latestsecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and patches .Required Skills & Experience 16+ yearsof experience in enterprise security and firewall management. Expert-level knowledge ofCheckpoint and Palo Alto firewalls . Strong experience withVPNs, NAT, routing, firewall policies, and security zones . Hands-on knowledge ofthreat prevention, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), URL filtering, and logging . Experience withsecurity incident response and L4 escalation handling . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in mission-critical networks. Excellentcommunication and leadership skillsfor cross-team coordination.Preferred Qualifications Checkpoint CCSE / CCSE NGX or Palo Alto PCNSE certifications. Experience withSIEM integration, cloud security, and hybrid network security architectures .
