Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SDET to design, develop, and implement native automation frameworks for mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in tools such as XCUI, Espresso, and KIF and will leverage their skills in automation, debugging, and analysis tools like Charles Proxy, Proxyman, and defect management platforms such as JIRA and Octane. This role will involve close collaboration with development and QA teams to ensure delivery of high-quality mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Framework Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain native automation frameworks for mobile testing using XCUI (iOS), Espresso (Android), and KIF.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment processes.
Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for mobile applications.
- Conduct functional, performance, regression, and system testing using automation tools.
Debugging and Troubleshooting:
- Utilize tools like Proxyman and Charles Proxy for network monitoring, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Identify, analyze, and report bugs using defect tracking systems like JIRA and Octane.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define quality standards and ensure test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to automation best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in mobile automation and incorporate them to improve testing efficiency.
- Optimize existing frameworks to enhance performance and scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in mobile application automation testing.
- Proficiency in developing automation frameworks using XCUI, Espresso, and KIF.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and defect management tools like JIRA and Octane.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as Proxyman and Charles Proxy.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Objective-C.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mobile app lifecycle and RESTful API testing.
- Exposure to cross-platform mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
