About the role:

Asset Management and O&M of Solar projects (Roof top, Ground-mounted, C&I, Residencial, Utility scale etc.) in USA and India comprising of, but not limited to, Performance analysis, Power Generation Tracking, Optimization, Preventive and Corrective maintenance, technical issues resolution, Revenue recognition and overall operational management as per the standards industry practices.


Location:

Delhi/NCR, India (Remote work from Project Site/Home, night hours for USA projects)


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Asset management and O&M of Solar PV systems, ensuring efficient, reliable and safe energy generation.
  • Ensure the assets/solar plants perform in accordance with the contractual obligations under specified quality parameters and safety standards
  • Optimize power generation ensuring reliability, safety and cost effective.
  • Communication and Reporting formalities associated with all the stakeholders (external and internal)
  • Monitor asset performance and take preventive and corrective action in accordance with the system and budget requirements.
  • Carry out failure analysis and provide technical assistance to the Design and Project Management team.
  • Analyse the power generation data and do root cause analysis (RCA) of the failure and take necessary decisions to find suitable solutions.
  • Provide and present weekly reports of the asset/plant performance.
  • Drive and ensure safety in carrying out the activities at project sites
  • Understand the O&M contracts and various guarantee/warranty clause applicable to the equipment/system/services.
  • Ensure contractual obligations to various equipment supplier/OEM/service provider resulting risk free projects/assets.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and take actions towards de-risking the assets in the long run of their operational life cycle.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime of the plant through proactive measures.
  • Monitor and supervise direct reports as per the good industry practices

 

Qualification and preferred skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven and relevant experience in Asset Management and O&M of solar projects.
  • Strong understanding of solar technologies, operational management, contractual administration, vendor/sub-contractor management.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of solar plant equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work and collaborate with customers, cross-functional team and senior management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and lead the team to deliver the desired results.
  • Efficient in MS office (PowerPoint, MS Projects, Excel, Word etc.)
  • Willing to travel to project sites.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis and Microsoft Excel.  
  • Ability to monetize Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) or Carbon Credits revenue.  
  • Senior-level experience to effectively understand and manage the responsibilities mentioned above.  


Remuneration:

INR 14 Lakh – 22 Lakh per annum
