About this Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with Project Management skills and experience in accounting/finance, accounting systems, data integrations, and report development. Experience in accounting platforms is required, preferably Sage Intacct, Netsuite, SAP, or Oracle Financials with deep understanding of accounting data integrations to/from other systems. The ideal candidate will also have some project management background to be able to manage development tasks, schedules, and deadlines. They must have a strong background in requirements gathering, understanding business needs, and be able to translate those to technical specifications for the development team. Proficiency in learning new applications and back-end data models is needed for this role. This role requires a self-starter who possesses a skillset in learning new technologies, and with a keen interest in researching and finding solutions to difficult business problems. They should also be detail-oriented to document the problem statement, find solutions, and document business and technical specifications.

Prior experience in leading teams, managing customers, and delivering beyond client expectations is required.

This is a long-term contract role for full 40 hrs/week and will be done remotely. Success in this role will require self-learning and ability to self-research unknown topics.

Responsibilities

• Work with business teams to troubleshoot and solve accounting issues
• Understand integration and reporting requirements for various applications and connection points
• Work with development team to fix technical issues for existing functionality
• Work with development team to build new integrations and other technical components for accounting needs
• Document business problem and requirements
• Research and find technical solutions to meet customer requirements
• Document business and technical specifications for development team
• Define schedules, timelines, deadlines for deliverables and discuss with business and development teams
• Manage the entire development life cycle, track progress and milestones
• Test and validate the final product
• Work with business teams to test new product and confirm requirements are met
• Manage product deployment
• Lead meetings and present to large groups

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in either Accounting or Computer Science
• 8+ years in a Business Analyst role, 10+ years preferred
• 8+ years in Enterprise applications - ERP/Accounting (Sage Intacct), HR, CRM (Salesforce)
• 5+ years in integration development, platforms such as Tray.io, Zapier preferred
• 2+ years in Project management
• Experience working with offshore teams and ability to manage a clear communication channel
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience presenting status to senior leadership
• Experience managing customer expectations, and addressing escalations
• People skills with proven ability to drive teams to success
