Job Purpose

The candidate is entrusted with the responsibility of strategizing, conceptualizing, and orchestrating the comprehensive portfolio of events and promotional endeavours to elevate the ISB Executive Education and Digital Learning brand.


This entails a rigorous approach to the planning, execution, and management of diverse, high-impact events. The role is pivotal in boosting brand visibility, driving sales acceleration, fostering deep engagement with ISB’s distinguished clientele.


This role demands a sophisticated understanding of industry trends, audience needs, and educational content delivery to ensure that each event serves as a powerful platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and brand engagement.


Job Outline

In the capacity of Senior Events Manager, one is expected to mastermind and govern a suite of events that resonate with the values and aspirations of ISB Executive Education. This entails the curation of bespoke event experiences that foster knowledge sharing, connect thought leaders, and galvanize the community of professionals around the brand. With a lens on market trends and a finger on the pulse of technological advancements, the Senior Events Manager ensures each event is a beacon of innovation, education, and engagement.

Conference Production and Content Management

  • Craft and refine event content to reflect the brand's educational ethos and market position
  • Engage industry thought leaders as speakers to enrich the events with diverse insights and expertise
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events in real-time, adjusting strategies to enhance audience engagement and content delivery


Strategic Event Planning and Execution

  • Design events with a strategic focus on the brand's long-term goals, enhancing market presence and engagement
  • Ensure each event is a seamless experience that reflects the brand's commitment to quality and excellence
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver a coherent and impactful event narrative
  • Manage budgets with precision, maximizing the impact of each event while maintaining fiscal responsibility
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing quality with cost-efficiency to deliver exceptional event experiences
  • Continuously seek ways to optimize spending, ensuring that every event delivers on expectations and value


Brand Promotion and Awareness

  • Implement innovative promotional activities that underline the ISB brand's unique value proposition during events
  • Tailor event branding to resonate with the target audience, fostering loyalty and brand advocacy
  • Harness the power of events to create memorable brand interactions that drive market conversation


Innovation and Technology Integration

  • Incorporate AI and digital platforms to create interactive experiences that set industry benchmarks
  • Leverage technology to streamline event processes, enhance user experience, and gather insightful data
  • Explore new technologies that can bring a fresh perspective to event execution and attendee engagement


Performance Measurement - ROI Enhancement

  • Monitor and analyze event outcomes to ensure alignment with sales objectives and brand growth
  • Use events as a platform for lead generation, nurturing prospects through engaging experiences
  • Adjust event strategies based on ROI data to improve performance and drive sales momentum
  • Develop and utilize a robust framework of KPIs to gauge event success and inform strategic decisions
  • Analyze event data to understand attendee behavior and preferences, refining event offerings
  • Report on event performance, providing insights to stakeholders and guiding future event investments


Team Management and Collaboration

  • Engage synergistically with marketing, sales, enterprise and programme teams
  • Forge relationships with influencers and strategic partners for collaborative campaigns that capitalize on shared networks and extend brand exposure
  • Network with stakeholders in the industry and academia for their contribution and participation
  • Employ team management techniques to steer and nurture the social media team, promoting a culture of cooperation and ongoing learning
  • Maintain an excellent NPS Score with stakeholders


Job Specification

Knowledge / Education: MBA or a higher degree in marketing or related disciplines, from premier institutions only

Specific Skills

  • Excellent and proven marcom skills (written and verbal), demonstrated through successful campaigns run in the past
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation capabilities to work across multiple projects/ tasks at a time
  • Extreme process orientation and eye for detail in communications, and in defining and effecting workflows
  • Strong campaign execution, coordination and vendor management capabilities

Desirable Experience

  • Working experience of organic and paid social media campaigns
  • 6-8 years' experience in marketing and events
  • Sound working knowledge of Social Media Marketing –Facebook, and Twitter
