Responsible for developing and implementing testing strategies, proposing innovative solutions and process improvements, staying updated on industry trends, coordinating with cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders, assessing risks, executing automated test scripts, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement in testing practices.
1. Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases based on product requirements, ensuring adequate test coverage for functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing.
2. Execute test cases, analyze results, identify and document defects with clear and concise steps to reproduce, and track defects through their lifecycle to resolution.
3. Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress) to improve efficiency and regression testing capabilities.
4. Conduct performance testing (e.g., load, stress, scalability) and collaborate with development teams on security testing initiatives to identify vulnerabilities and ensure system resilience.
5. Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate early defect detection and continuous quality assurance.
6. Demonstrate strong proficiency with test management tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and defect tracking systems.
7. Work closely with product managers, developers, cross functional teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide timely feedback, and communicate test progress and risks effectively.
8. Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the QA lifecycle, advocating for best practices and contributing to the continuous enhancement of testing methodologies.
9. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior QA engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of quality within the team.
10. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex software issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, MIS or related discipline
Relevant work experience in software quality engineering based on the following number of years:
Associate: Prior experience not required
Standard I: Two (2) years
Standard II: Three (3) years
Senior I: Four (4) years
Senior II: Five (5) years
