Automation Test Engineer | 6+ Years Location : Bangalore (Only Local Candidates)Work Mode : Hybrid (3 Days WFO)Shift Timing : 12:00 PM 9:00 PM (1 Hour)Employment Type : Full-TimeAbout the Role :We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving quality through automation and has strong expertise in Selenium with Java or Python. Exposure to performance and load testing will be a strong advantage.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, API, and integration testing.- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, or related tools.- Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA peers to define BDD-style acceptance criteria and translate them into executable test scripts (Cucumber, Gherkin).- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability using ALM and Jira Xray for planning, execution, and reporting.- Identify, document, and track defects through ALM/Jira, collaborating with developers for quick resolution.- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous feedback and build stability.- Participate in functional and regression test reviews, maintaining documentation aligned with business requirements.- (Preferred) Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability and responsiveness.- Champion quality-first practices across the SDLC, balancing manual and automated Skills & Experience :- 6- 12 years of professional experience in QA automation.- Strong hands-on experience in functional, regression, and exploratory testing.- Expertise in Selenium with Java or Python and automation frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber, or Maven.- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave) and Gherkin syntax.- Hands-on experience with test management tools (Micro Focus ALM, Jira Xray).- Solid experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/DevOps environments.- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.- Experience working in Agile and SAFe Qualifications :- Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Grafana k6).- Exposure to data validation testing for end-to-end verification.- Knowledge of cloud-native or containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools is a plus.
