About The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Taxation Manager to join our team at Prasuma, a leading player in the FMCG industry.
The Taxation Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of taxation compliance and strategy for the company, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations while optimizing tax efficiencies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in taxation to contribute to the success of our organization.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies and initiatives to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, including income tax, GST, and other relevant taxes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's tax position.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Conduct tax planning and analysis to identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and legal teams, to gather necessary information and ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and government authorities on tax-related matters, including assessments, audits, and disputes.
- Monitor and review transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on tax implications of various transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to taxation and ensure adherence to internal control Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A master's degree or professional qualification in taxation (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in taxation, preferably in the FMCG or related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to business scenarios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in SAP would be preferred with advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to lead and develop a team of tax professionals.
