Organization: Generic Engineering Construction and Projects Ltd.

Location: Mumbai, Vikhroli

Reporting To: Board of Directors

Industry: Project Management Consultancy (PMC)

Educational Qualification: Civil Engineering degree (mandatory), MBA (preferred)

Experience: Minimum 20 years

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Project Management:
  • Lead the project management lifecycle from initiation to closure for diverse building and infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, mixed-use developments, airports, and metro systems.
  • Align projects with client objectives while ensuring strict adherence to timelines, budgets, quality, and compliance.
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Act as the primary interface with clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on project feasibility, planning, and execution strategies.
  1. Planning & Coordination:
  • Develop and oversee detailed project management plans, covering scope, schedule, budget, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  1. Risk Management & Compliance:
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively to minimize disruptions and maintain project continuity.
  • Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices, including safety and environmental requirements.
  1. Performance Monitoring:
  • Define and track KPIs, including cost control, timeline adherence, and client satisfaction, to measure project success.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess performance and implement improvements.
  1. Profitability & Budget Oversight:
  • Take ownership of project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide regular financial updates to the Board, highlighting project profitability and resource optimization.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Facilitate effective communication among clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to align objectives.
  • Represent Generic Engineering Construction and Projects Ltd. at industry events, meetings, and client interactions.
  1. Technology & Innovation:
  • Leverage advanced project management tools, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), AI, and data analytics, to enhance planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Promote innovative approaches to address complex challenges and improve outcomes.
  1. Sustainability & Quality Management:
  • Integrate sustainability principles into project planning and management, adhering to green building and environmental standards.
  • Ensure quality benchmarks are consistently met across all projects, with a focus on audit compliance and client satisfaction.
  1. Team Leadership & Development:
  • Build and lead high-performing project management teams, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and developmental opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Requirements:

  1. Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • MBA or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  1. Experience:
  • Minimum of 20 years in Project Management Consultancy, managing projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, mixed-use developments, airports, and metro systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects within budget and on schedule.
  1. Project Management Expertise:
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) and tools for planning, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Strong experience in risk management, resource allocation, and KPI monitoring.
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to maintain strong client relationships and provide strategic guidance.
  • Expertise in understanding client needs and aligning them with project goals.
  1. Financial Acumen:
  • Extensive experience in managing project budgets, cost control, and financial forecasting.
  • Proven ability to optimize resource utilization and drive profitability.
  1. Leadership & People Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a focus on collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Capable of managing multidisciplinary teams in dynamic environments.
  1. Technology & Innovation:
  • Hands-on experience with project management software, including BIM and data-driven analytics.
  • Commitment to adopting innovative practices to enhance project outcomes.
  1. Sustainability & Compliance:
  • Knowledge of green building standards and sustainable practices in project management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements across sectors.
