The ideal candidate will have about 6 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining data platforms and pipelines on the Microsoft Azure cloud, particularly working with services such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics (Synapse) and Azure Databricks (Databricks). You will partner with analytics, BI and data science teams to deliver robust, scalable, performant, and secure solutions.Key Responsibilities- - Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and/or streaming) using Azure services like Data Factory, Synapse and Databricks. - - Ingest data from a variety of sources (on-premises, cloud, structured/unstructured) into Azure Data Lake / Storage and build ETL/ELT flows. - - Develop data warehouse / data-lake solutions and convert business requirements into data models (star/snowflake schemas) within Synapse or other Azure data-store services. - - Optimize data processing jobs (e.g., Spark / PySpark in Databricks), tune clusters and queries for performance and cost efficiency. - - Implement transformations, aggregations, cleansing and enrichment of data to support analytics and reporting. - - Work with stakeholders (data scientists, BI developers, business analysts) to understand requirements and deliver data products. - - Ensure data quality, integrity, security, governance and compliance (e.g., using Azure Key Vault, RBAC, Azure Purview if applicable). - - Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug data pipelines; respond to failures, optimize reliability and performance. - - Build and maintain documentation for data pipelines, architecture, design decisions, and operational procedures. - - Participate in CI/CD processes for data pipelines and infrastructure (Git, Azure DevOps, ARM templates or terraform preferred). - - Mentor junior engineers and help establish best practices for data engineering on Azure.Required Skills & Qualifications- - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field. - - ~6 years of experience in data engineering, with at least several years working on Azure data platform services. - - Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory — pipelines, data flows, triggers, linked services and integration runtime. - - Proven experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (or Azure SQL DW) including data warehousing, performance tuning, large data volumes. - - Strong expertise in Azure Databricks — Spark / PySpark programming, cluster configuration, job scheduling. - - Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Blob storage, Delta Lake or equivalent. - - Well-versed in SQL (T-SQL) for querying, data modelling, views, stored procedures; also, scripting language such as Python is preferred. - - Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, data modelling techniques (star schema, snowflake), in a cloud environment. - - Good understanding of data governance, data security, access controls, and compliance in cloud. - - Exposure to CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform) for Azure infra is a plus. - - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work independently and in a team. - - Good communication skills (to interact with business, BI, data science, infrastructure teams). - - Preferred: Relevant Azure certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) or similar.Preferred / Nice-to-Have- - Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other BI/visualization tools. - - Familiarity with streaming data solutions (Kafka, Event Hubs) and real-time processing. - - Experience migrating on-premises data warehouses to Azure cloud. - - Experience with cost-optimization and design for scale in cloud data platform. - - Knowledge of other Azure services (Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Pipelines, Synapse Spark pools).Location & Work Mode- - Position is based in Noida (NCR). - - Work mode: On-site / Hybrid (e.g., 3-4 days in office) as per company policy. - - Candidate should be willing to commute to Noida office as needed.Why Join Us?- - Work on cutting-edge Azure cloud data platform, enabling analytics/insights for business decisions. - - Opportunity to shape the end-to-end data architecture and drive improvements in pipelines, performance and automation. - - Collaborative environment with opportunity to work closely with data scientists/BI teams and senior leadership. - - Growth opportunity — take ownership, mentor others, and expand your cloud data engineering skillset.Note: Virtual/Video call interview will be on 28th Nov 2025 @10.00 AM to 5.00 PM.Note: Applications will be shortlisted based upon response received & Eligibility criteria.
