Bengaluru.Position Title:Software Engineering Lead, Integrations Description: As one of the largest retailers in the world, our success depends on hundreds of systems communicating seamlessly—moving data and events securely and reliably across our enterprise. These integration systems connect our supply chain, stores, e-commerce, finance, and vendor partners into a unified, data-driven operation. We are seeking aSoftware Engineering Leadto drive the evolution of our Integration Systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and built with quality at their core. You will lead a small team of engineers to design, build, and support the APIs, messaging frameworks, and data pipelines that keep our business running.What will you be doing? As a Software Engineering Lead for Integration Systems, you will: Lead and mentor a team of2–5 software engineersin designing and delivering integration solutions that connect critical enterprise applications. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define integration patterns, data flows, and technical designs that meet business needs. ChampionTest-Driven Development (TDD)and automated testing strategies to ensure integrations are reliable, maintainable, and future-proof. Implement and maintain modern testing frameworks such asJUnit, Playwright, and Cucumber . Drive the adoption ofobservability tools —including application monitoring, log aggregation, and session replay—to proactively detect and resolve system issues. Ensure integrations are built for performance, scalability, and resilience, with strong security and compliance standards. Facilitate code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team. Promote a culture ofsoftware craftsmanshipandunbreakable qualityacross integration projects.What will you need to bring? Required Skills & Experience: 6-9 yearsin software engineering, with at least2 years leading teams . Strong background in designing and developing enterprise integration solutions (e.g., APIs, messaging, event streaming, data pipelines). Proficiency inTDD/BDDand automated testing practices. Hands-on experience withJUnit, Playwright, Cucumber , or similar frameworks. Familiarity withobservability platforms(e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Dynatrace) and logging solutions (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack). Proven track record of mentoring engineers and fostering team collaboration. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work across diverse technology stacks. Experience in Retail Domain & Product Domain. Experience in Cosmos DB, Spring BootPreferred Skills & Experience: Retail or large-scale enterpriseexperience. Knowledge of API gateways, event streaming tools (e.g., Kafka), or cloud-native integration patterns. Familiarity with security best practices for integrations, including authentication, encryption, and data governance.
